Frida Iman Charara is currently an action and conceptual artist, performing in hands-on participatory and process-based formats. Migrating from migration, exteriorizing embedded colonialities as well as picking up on categorizing practices, Frida Iman sculpts visual reflections that continuously ferment from the changing places she ends up living in. Frida Iman is a founding member of “Φ-whyld-I studios”: a collaborative research and visual practice for digging into cultural and political artifacts. With feet in architectural and theatrical soils, Frida Iman co-founded “baucircus” in 2018– a nomadic collective that travels to communities upon invitation with the mission of addressing and co-producing spatial projects through the connecting powers of crafts and physical transformation.
